About Tofo Beach
Located 20km from the historic port city of Inhambane and just over 500km north of Mozambique’s capital, Maputo, Tofo Beach is now known among international divers as one of the best places in the world to have close encounters with manta rays and whale sharks. With miles of pristine, tropical beaches and warm Indian Ocean waters teeming with marine life, Tofo has become a traveller’s Mecca on the Eastern coast of Africa. It’s not hard to see why: as well as its beautiful stretches of beach, Tofo has a friendly laid-back vibe, a small but pumping nightlife, great diving and snorkelling and a few good restaurants too.
Both mantas and whale sharks can be seen in Tofo all year round and our winter months see the arrival of the humpback whales migrating south. A great day’s diving in winter can include sightings of all these majestic creatures in one morning - nowhere else in the world can offer this remarkable combination!!

COVID-19
To help divers prepare for the new reality of diving during COVID-19 at Peri-Peri Divers. Our Mozambican Government, SSI and the Divers Alert Network (DAN) recently issued advice to dive operators on how to safely resume operations.
While this guidance gives divers an inkling of what they can expect when returning to our dive shop the risk cannot be entirely eliminated when interacting with other people.
Below we will list what we at Peri-Peri Divers are implementing to Safeguard as best we can our staff, friends and family divers from this unprecedented pandemic.
What we ask of you…
Above all else, don’t forget to smile.
Our promise to you…
We are living in extreme times and an ever changing world so it’s important to understand what we got into diving for in the first place and know that it may be a difficult transition to begin with but we will get over this as long as we can adhere to the rule changes and be respectful to individuals and the business needs alike.. so enjoy you time with us and hopefully the diving will blow your mind!
